We had an awesome church service Wednesday night.
My uncle Alec (for my local people - our asst pastor brother Alex Justice) has been on fire the last couple weeks. And when I sang for the Lord I could feel the Spirit so strong. For me one of the greatest feelings is when I’m singing praises up to Him & he sends blessings down; as I feel the spirit fall around me I hear my sisters shouting and feel my brothers jumping - It’s overwhelming joy. It humbles me because I’ve made so many mistakes in my life, I’m no where near worthy of his love.
I’ve been through things that no woman should ever go through. Instead of breaking me, those things made me better. That’s how God’s Amazing Grace works! He takes it all away! -the pain, the days of running to another room to hide the tears from your children, the days of crying in the shower for hours because you can’t get “clean,” all the fear & all the anxiety, not wanting to get out of bed, wanting to die, he takes all that away and not only does he take it all away, he turns it into beauty that you never seen coming. He pulls you a little bit more above this world and a little closer to him. He gives you patience like you’ve never known and a peace inside your heart. You have a new appreciation for life and you see all these blessings and wonderful little things that you couldn’t see through the fog of depression.
As one of my favorite songs right now says, “his love is strong and his grace is free, the good news is I know that he can do for you what he’s done for me!” -( My Jesus by Anne Wilson. ) God is calling you. He knows you and every hair on your head whether you know him or not. He longs to save you. He is patiently waiting for you to let him.
Our little church has been on fire and we’ve all been doing our part working to gain that closer walk with him, coming together in one mind and one accord. We may be small but because of him we are Mighty. God is making big moves like this in all his little churches in this country. America is God’s country, and it’s time we get it back for him. He’s not pleased with all this division in America. A house divided can not stand. Period. If we don’t start coming together and standing for what’s right, America is going to fall like every other nation divided before us.
When we were on vacation last month, I was studying my Bible by the pool.
God had me reading in Mathew about the sermon on the mount. What I got most out of it was that when you genuinely have the change in your heart and you seek him with faith, trusting in him to lead you and guide you, becoming less of this world and more of him, and having a true unconditional love for your neighbor, you won’t be doing things you shouldn’t, because you won’t be near temptation in the first place. You will do the right thing without even having to think because it will be your natural reaction.
We get back from Top Golf and there’s police & first responders all over the beach in front of our resort. We find out that a man had been taken by the rip current and drowned. It took hours for them to find his body. I immediately hurt for his family. I couldn’t imagine the pain and then having to wait for hours wondering if they’d even find him at all. A few hours later we get more information. The man was in the water and seen out from him another man struggling to keep his daughter from being taken by the current. He didn’t hesitate to go and help, and while he was able to help the other man get his daughter to safety, the current took him. When I heard this, I was so touched, and in that moment, God spoke to me. He said “Don’t hurt for him, for great is his reward, he’d do the same thing over again.”
Later that evening I took my Bible back down to the pool to study while my babies swam. I was writing down how this man was the perfect example of Jesus’ sermon on the mount. I knew this was why God had me studying about it the day before. He seen his neighbor struggling and didn’t hesitate. His natural reaction was to do the right thing and he immediately went to help, not worrying at all what would happen to himself. He sacrificed his life so a young girl could live. As I was writing a woman walks by. She looks at me and says “You’re using this time to be productive and I smiled and said yep, then she seen my bible and she said “you’re even studying your word!” She walked on with her babies, but there was something special about her. I knew she was going to come back and talk to me, and a few minutes later, she did! She asked what I was studying. I told her, and she was also moved. We started to cry and talk about the Lord together. She had been worried about how she was gonna pay for her vacation as she was a single mother, and I was worried about my middle child as he was struggling in school. Without words I was able to take her worry away because she knew the second she seen I had my Bible by the pool, all she had to do was step up and be a little bit more obedient. Then she wouldn’t be worrying because she’d know God’s got her and there’s nothing she needs to worry about. Then, with some remarkable words she was able to take my worry away. She didn’t know anything about me, let alone how many children I had. She said “I can see your middle child and it’s like he is something fierce.” I told her how I’d been worrying about him and how I had hoped by this time his adhd would of went away or at least not be as bad. She said “He’s not only gonna be fine, he’s gonna be Great. My pastor told us the next generation of Godly men are gonna have to be bold and full of life. These little boys with these big personalities that have to be “tamed,” there’s a reason God gave them that. He’s raising his army that is gonna fight to keep Christianity in our country because people are trying to shut it down. So don’t you worry about him and don’t you let anyone try to tame him because he’s gonna be on fire for God and is gonna rock this world!” You see even though we didn’t know each other living in different states, from different walks of life, & even different colored skin, we were sisters. Our spirits knew each other. We had such a strong spiritual bond that during our conversation we could see each other’s hearts and spoke on a deeper level than words. This is something I had never experienced and it was so precious and so special to me. Through a time when we have to see all this despicable hate, this disgusting racism, this division, God brought her and I together.
She is exactly right. God is making moves in this country. I see it in my little church in WV and I seen it in South Carolina. I know in my heart she is right about my son being one of the bold Godly men rising up as well. She’s not the first person that God has shown that too, as others have told me they seen the same. A lot of people know I have a child with adhd, but few know how special of a kid he is. He’s only 9 and has been through something terrible. I took him to therapy to help him know how to handle it, and his therapist was wonderful. He absolutely loved her and she loved him. She told me out of all the kids she’d worked with that he was the most polite, the most emotionally mature, and the best hearted kid she’d seen. He was only 6 the first time he seen her and when she asked him if he knew why he was there to see her, he said “yeah because *** has a problem and he didn’t know that what he was doing to me was bad. I think he needs surgery so the dr can fix his brain so he’ll know it’s wrong.” His teachers have always told me how good he is to other kids and if he sees someone struggle a little he’ll tell her they need her help, while here he is struggling more himself. When we go to church he’s not playing with the other kids, he actually pays attention. He listens to the preaching and even asks us questions about it. He also tells us he’s going to be a Godly man.
God still has people everywhere, and while the devil is trying his best to divide and conquer this country, God is bringing his people together. He is raising bold and fierce men to fight for him. He is telling us it’s time to get up! Speak out and stop letting fear keep us silent. Christians know all these things going on in America are wrong, but we don’t say anything because when we do they throw so much hate at us. They call us hypocrites and try to say we’re the ones that have the hate. They pick us apart and the media makes us look crazy and ignorant. But the devil still has to answer to God, and God’s only gonna allow so much. He’s given us power over the enemy so it’s time we use it. It’s time to fight for our freedom because it’s slowly but surely being taken away. They want us to allow our kids to be taught things in school that shouldn’t and wouldn’t even cross their mind yet. All that would come out of that is distorted views on sexuality and future pervert and rapists. They’re trying to get control over who gets put in office. That could give the government total control over us and how we live our lives. We have to come together and put a stop to all this. Ask God what can you do to help and do what he calls us to do. Ask him to give you the thoughts to think and the words to speak. Sometimes one small move is all it takes to make a big change. We may be small, but so was David. Together we can bring American back to being One Nation Under God again.
