Zach Bryan Design * DTF -or- Sublimation
Designs are delivered ready to be pressed!! :)
Our designs usually ship within 3 business days, however turn around time varies as order volume peaks during holidays, etc. Design Directions and Sizing Dimensions are listed below.
- * DTF designs are versatile and do not require a specific color/material.
- * Sublimation designs require material light in color (or bleached light on point of contact) and material made of at least 25% polyester, or material that is polymer coated. The higher poly content, the brighter the design will show up.
* DTF (Direct to Film) Designs
DTF printing is an innovative method where designs are printed directly onto a special film and then transferred to fabric using heat. This technique allows for vibrant colors, fine details, and durable prints that adhere well to various materials. DTF is versatile, suitable for both light and dark fabrics, and provides a soft, flexible finish that withstands repeated washing.
* Sublimation Designs
Sublimation printing involves using heat to transfer dye directly into the fibers of polyester or polymer-coated materials. This process results in vivid, high-resolution designs that are permanent and do not peel or fade over time. Sublimation is ideal for creating full-color, all-over prints on items like apparel, mugs, and home decor, offering a smooth, professional finish that feels like part of the fabric.
DTF (Direct to Film)
**Pressing Directions:**
1. **Preheat the Heat Press:** Set your heat press to 325°F (165°C).
2. **Prepare the Garment:** Lay the garment flat on the heat press and pre-press for 5-10 seconds to remove any moisture and wrinkles.
3. **Position the DTF Transfer:** Place the DTF transfer film with the printed design facing down on the desired area of the garment.
4. **Cover the Transfer:** Place a Teflon sheet or parchment paper over the transfer film to protect it.
5. **Press the Design:** Close the heat press and apply medium pressure for 15 seconds.
6. **Peel the Film:** After pressing, allow the garment to cool slightly (about 5-10 seconds), then peel the film off smoothly. If the design doesn't release easily, you can try a cold peel by letting it cool completely before peeling.
7. **Post-Pressing (Optional):** For added durability, you can post-press the design by placing the Teflon sheet back over the design and pressing again for 5 seconds.
** Sizing Dimensions.**
We use different size paper for Sublimation and DTF. Due to the designing/printing process, estimates are not exact but provide an idea of design size.
1. Front Corner - Around 4x4in
2. Full Chest - Around 12x12. For designs made longer, around 12x15in. Shorter designs (like One-Word “Mama” or “Wifey,” etc.) are around 5x12in. All full chest sublimation designs will come as large as possible according to their layout.
3. Full Back - Same as Full Chest
SUBLIMATION
**Pressing Directions:**
1. **Preheat the Heat Press:** Set your heat press to 400°F (204°C).
2. **Prepare the Garment:** Lay the garment flat on the heat press and pre-press for 5-10 seconds to remove any moisture and wrinkles.
3. **Position the Sublimation Transfer:** Place the sublimation paper with the printed design face down on the desired area of the garment. Secure it with heat-resistant tape to prevent movement.
4. **Cover the Transfer:** Place a Teflon sheet or parchment paper over the transfer paper to protect it.
5. **Press the Design:** Close the heat press and apply medium to firm pressure for 40-60 seconds.
6. **Remove the Transfer:** After pressing, carefully peel off the sublimation paper while it is still hot. The design will now be embedded into the fabric.
** Sizing Dimensions.** We use different size paper for Sublimation and DTF. Due to the designing/printing process, estimates are not exact but provide an idea of design size.
